Overcoming Lag
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. I talk about all things in life, but try to focus on my passions of music and design. Please read more about me, if you’re interested. Thanks for visiting!
I’ve now been back from Italy for over a week and I still have not managed to feel accomplished. It’s amazing how easy it is to fall into a negative pattern. I know exactly what needs to be finished, but the energy is lacking. I would imagine having the flu on the front half of the trip didn’t help any. I would still like to be in the swing, though.
Some things are going very well. I’ve reconnected with my friends and family in positive ways. I’ve nearly worked my way through the stack of magazines and correspondence. I even managed finally to consolidate my remote controls (that may not seem like a significant thing, but they were owning my coffee table). I still need two, but the universal remote almost controls everything now.
I just feel like jet lag has affected my abilities in strange ways (for me). I’m not tired, but yet the motivation to accomplish the mundane has been removed. It’s not like I’m living in filth, but I’m not exactly running to the duster, either. My work for my clients continues at its usual level. It’s almost like just the things for myself are lacking.
How do you fight jet lag that isn’t jet lag?
